School Features

1 On-duty report: At the beginning of class, students take turns to give a 10-minute “on-duty report,” in which they give a 10-minute commentary on a current issue, in order to improve their presentation, communication, and personal skills. In the “on-duty report,” students choose a topic that takes into consideration the needs and culture of other international students in the audience, and through their presentation and question-and-answer session, they gain a better understanding of different cultures, and this has the effect of improving their personalities.
2 Listening: Students who wish to listen to other classes in order to improve their Japanese language skills are permitted to do so after careful examination of the purpose of their attendance. Students in the beginner class can attend the intermediate class, and students in the intermediate class can attend the advanced class as a source of sustenance.
3 Students and teachers debate each other's points of view, learning from the other's strengths and improving their own skills. Students who are able to debate have a high level of Japanese language ability and logical thinking skills. Although time is limited, the ability to debate well is a skill that students have had since before Japanese language instruction.
